We are Made by Dave, a small team of designers, consultants and our founder: Dave. 

Made by Dave works with brands like yours to design, build and manage websites using Squarespace. We’ve clocked 10,000+ hours working within the platform as a certified Squarespace Expert and Circle Member. This gives us access to some of the best web design tools out there – and gives you the best results without early subscription costs and complications. 

Whether you’re starting up or branching out, want to build from scratch or tweak what’s there, we’ll help you get up and running. An indie or SME at the start of your business journey or a multinational with years in the game, we’ll make sure your website is responsive, intuitive and delivers a fantastic user experience.

Our decades of collective experience using Squarespace have resulted in hundreds of websites and hundreds of thousands of very happy website visitors.

But we’re more than tools and technology. Our team is human and our approach involves learning, talking, advising and training. We also work with experienced photographers with a critical eye and an understanding that imagery on a site can make it or break it.

Founded almost a decade ago, Made by Dave has grown from side hustle to fully-fledged business. Our mission, however, has remained unchanged: build sites to build brands.

Why Made by Dave?

  • Our bespoke websites are built on the state of the art Squarespace platform. Squarespace merges beautiful, responsive design with tools that make it easy for you to manage and edit your site once we have created it for you.

  • From competitively priced starter setups to fully bespoke custom builds, we’ve got all of your needs covered. We also provide, where needed, photographers and offer help with your Squarespace SEO (search engine optimisation). Do check out the Services section for more information on this.

Getting started

  • To begin your project we will have an initial phone or video conversation to meet you and understand what you are trying to achieve for your new Squarespace site.

  • Together we'll establish a timeframe that works for everyone. We believe it's important to have a clear end delivery goal from the very start, and we will ensure you're fully informed at all times on the progress of your website, with design reviews held regularly.

  • We request that the outline of your content is provided to us before the design gets underway. We believe that design follows content and we can't truly give you an effective design without your content.

  • We then proceed to develop your design, continuing to iterate in an Agile way, working closely with you.

  • When the site is ready we ask you to do a full review. We'll request your DNS information (if you need to purchase this or a domain we can help!) and we'll launch your beautiful new Squarespace site to the world!

  • We provide, where needed, Squarespace training to walk you through how your site has been put together so this can be maintained by yourself should you choose that option. We always follow up with our clients after launch to see how you're getting on and if you need anything. We're only ever a phone call away, and if you need on-going support on your site.
